Missing You

Today I have a card that I made especially for the Kenny K's Krafty Challenge.  I used their sketch and came up with this card.  I have the Bodacious Bev image from Kenny K Downloads.  I made her a larger size than usual so we could get a good look.  She is colored with Copics and mounted on cardstock from the Paper Studio's Mirabelle Collection.  I am loving this pack of cardstock.  I have added just a couple jewels for the bling and used a Sizzix  die for the flourishes.  The ovals are cut from Spellbinder dies.  My sentiment is computer generated and punched out with a SU punch.

I am entering this card in the
Wish me luck.

Big Shoes

Hello everyone, I have a some more of the cards I did for the OWH project.  These are three different versions of Mo Mannings image called "Big Shoes."  Each of the girls have been colored with colored pencils and Gamsol.  Each has been cut out and mounted on cardstock and colorful papers.  I have added a little ribbon and a few gems to make them sparkle.  I have computer generated greeting and used SU punches to cut them out.  The blue version and the pink version have a background

done with the new SU apothecary dies and then embossed in an embossing folder.  The pink on also has a swirl cut from a Sizzix Die.  I wanted to keep the cards more on the simple side because they will do a lot of traveling and I didn't want anything to fall off.  Since it has been raining all day we are staying in the house and I have been on the computer for most of the morning looking at everyone's posts.   Wow, I have been enjoying some awesome cards, from some very talented people.   I
have seen so many great
new images lately.  The wish list is getting longer, but that will have to wait.  This morning I did order some refill ink for my Copics.  I have had so much fun coloring, that I have almost ran the skin colors out.  Thankfully my husband is understanding, he says, "I know how much you enjoy your hobby, and you need to have all the right tools.  Just like I need all the right tools for my hobby."  Which is Cars.  Both of us have hobbies that need "tools" all the time.  What to do.  Enjoy your weekend.

Sleepy Sage

Today I have a card I made using Mo Mannings image called "Sleepy Sage".  She is just so cute and every little girl needs to be in pink often.  When I daughter was having her daughter she said she was so tired of pink that she would not dress her in any pink.  My comment was "we'll see."  My granddaughter has worn more pink than any color out there, and now my daughter is once again a big pink fan.  Would you like to here about the details now?
I have Colored her with Copics in pinks, with blonde hair like my granddaughter's.  Her teddy is in tans.  I have added a pink ribbon from my stash.  I found  bag of scrap ribbon & such at a second hand store lucky me.  The pink plaid paper has been around long enough I can't remember where it's from.  The swirls are a flourish die from Sizzix and the rose pink cardstock is cut with a Spellbinders Nestabilities die.  I have added a few pink mulberry paper flowers each with a sequin for a touch of sparkle.  Hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Jarrod's Birthday

This is the card I made for my youngest son's birthday.   He loves cars and motorcycles so I thought this was a fitting image.  His birthday was a couple of days ago and I had forgotten to take the photo before I put it in the envelope.  So after I gave him the card I asked him to give it back so I could take the photo.

Anyway the image is from Digi Stamps 4 Joy and is colored with Copics.  I used a SU die to cut out the background shape and the EN France stamp from SU just because I wanted a pattern on my tan paper.  Then I added a strip of dark brown card stock and there is it simple as that.  The Birthday Wishes ended up on the inside again because I ran out of room on the front.  I am beginning to see why so many people use a larger size of card.  He liked the card and of course he loved the inside.(the part that had the money in it.)  Actually all of my children have told me they love the handmade cards so much more than any card I could buy.

Greetings 2

I have another version of Deevonn from Crafts N Me and this time I have done her hair in a lighter color still using Copic markers.   She is mounted on the same Paper Studio papers "Mirabelle Collection" and has a computer generated sentiment that is punched out with a SU round punch.

Greetings

Today I am posting another card I did using the sketch I found on Sassy Design Studios Blog.  I am not using this one in a challenge, I just loved the way it turned out.  I have used an image from
Crafts N Me called "Deevonn."  I think she is beautiful and what fun she was to color with my Copics.  For this card I have colored her hair with cool grays and black.  Then mounted her on Paper Studio cardstock from the Mirabelle collection and added just a little bling with some stick on copper colored flat back pearls from my stash.  Hope you enjoy.

Missing You

Today I have tried something new.  I found a sketch on the Sassy Studio Designs Challenge Blog and did my card using that.  I have used Carrie Sassy and I think she is beautiful.  I have used SU cardstock and papers.  The brads are from SU and so is the Bakers Twine bow I have tied.  She is colored with Copic markers and my sentiment is from the computer.

I am entering this card in the Dare to be Sassy Design Challenge.  Thank you for stopping by for a look.  Wow, I'm so thrilled to have won with this card @ Sassy Studio Designs Blog.  I received 2 new images come back soon to see how I use them.

I'm Missing You

Another of the cards for the OWH project.  This is the turtle freebie I found on the Copic website.  I have colored it with colored pencils and Gamsol.  I used several small pieces of SU paper scraps to make a color blocked background.  I have made a bow using SU ribbon and the sentiment is computer generated and just cut out.

Hello

Here are a couple of the cards I have ready to send to OWH.  I have used Mo Mannings "Come Out & Play" image and  colored both with Copic markers.  I think she looks like she is trying to yell Hello from across the ocean.  The cardstock is SU and the sentiment is computer generated and then punched out with a SU circle punch and the first version also has an embossed edge that is done with a SU Tulip embossing folder.

I was trying out color combinations and did her in both pinks and blues.  I haven't decided which I like the best; I like them both.  I think I need a blue somewhere in between the dark and light colors that I have.

Operation Write Home

I haven't  posted anything for a few days because I have been working on cards to send off to Operation write Home.  I have a nice little assortment of cards ready to go.  I have made 80 cards.  I spent the last couple of months learning to color with my Copic markers and only posted what I liked best.  Now I have made cards with the rest of the images I had colored and have touched them up to make myself
happy with the coloring.  Here are a few photos of them before I send them off.  I have used a lot of scraps left over from other card and scrapbook projects.  Some are pieced together kind of a color piecing style, but I am happy with the way they turned out also or I wouldn't send them off.
The site was asking for general, thinking of you, missing you, sending love, and thank you cards and I have tried to make several of each of those.  I used my computer to make my sentiments and used punches to cut most of them out.
I have used a lot of Mo Manning images, they are just so much fun to color and they look great.
The site asks for the insides to be blank, so that makes for one less step.  I will be posting a few of my favorites up close over the next few days.  It's raining here today so maybe I will stay inside and have a couple to share yet today.  Thanks for stopping by to have a look.  You can check out Operation Write Home here.
