Eureka Stamps Challenge

Eureka Stamps has a new challenge and this week it's "Spring Flowers."  I have colored this great image 20801 Butterfly & Sunflower with Copics.  I saw a card something like this last year and I'm sorry I can't remember who to give the credit to, but I thought I would give it a try and added my own little twist.  The image is cut into fourths and mounted on a couple layers of cardstock, which gives it almost a window effect.  Then I stamped some script on  purple cardstock and used the Stampin' Up butterfly punch to punch out 2 butterflies for embellishments.  The sentiment is computer generated right onto the card base and I added a couple flowers and a couple of punched pine springs using  a Martha Stewart punch.  

Then just for a little bling in the center of the main flower, I added a drop of glue and a sprinkle of beads and glitter, when it was dry I added a second layer for a full look.

I think spring must make me think of lavender and purples.  I have done a couple cards in these colors this year and looking back, last year had  a few in these colors also.  Thanks for looking and have a great day.  I will be entering this card in the following challenges...

Rain Rain Go Away

QKR Stampede has a new challenge and this week the challenge is  "Rain Rain Go Away  ."  I have used "In the Rain" and colored it with Copics and cut it with a Spellbinder die. I have a couple layers of paper, a paper flower with a pearl center, and a bow.

Pastel Happy Birthday

Sassy Studio Designs has a new challenge up this week and the challenge is "Pretty Pastels ."  I have used the Ballroom Babe image and colored it with Copics in lavender.  I added  a couple layers of designer papers and a butterfly made from a Cheery Lynn Die.  The sentiment is made using a Stampin' Up Birthday stamp and punch.

Eureka - Anything but a Square Card

Eureka Stamps has a new challenge and this week it's "Anything But A Square Card."  I have made a framed piece of art to hang on the wall using 3 digi images.  First I used  56301- the Sand Dollar Legend, which I basically just printed and only colored a tiny image area with a tan shade and tore the edges of the paper.  Then I printed 19701- Sand Dollars and 29001 - Shell Pattern and colored these with my Copic Markers and then fussy cut them out.  The shell pattern was then folded on the lines provided and both images were added to the piece.  A couple layers of cardstock and I put it in the frame.  To take the photo I added a pile of sea shells that I have collected while walking along beaches.  Which is my favorite thing to do while on vacation.

This will sit on a shelf with the shells piles around it because I love how it looks. Thanks for looking and have a great day.  I will be entering this card in the following challenges...

Go Green It's Spring Blog Hop

Sassy Studio Designs has another Hop & Release "Go Green It's Spring."  You should have arrived from my Sassy Sister Michelle's blog, and her great project.  And if you have missed any be sure to go back and start at the beginning, I have it all listed below.  I have used the Easter Bunny 2014 image and colored her with Copics.  Our challenge is to re-use something and use the Tic Tac Toe board shown below.   I have used the foil from some chocolate Easter eggs to make the bunny's egg, after I ate the chocolate of course.  So I won at Tic Tac Toe by using buttons, ribbon, a die cut and my used foil.

A Little Birdie Told Me

QKR Stampede has a new challenge and this week the challenge is  " A Little Birdie Told Me - Use some type of Bird."  I have used "63050 Blue Jays" and colored with Copics, and then cut using a Spellbinders die.   I used some more of my washi tape and a Stampin' Up punch for the sentiment.

Favorite Color Combinations

Sassy Studio Designs has a new challenge up this week and the challenge is " Favorite Color Combinations."  I have used the  Sarong Sassy image and colored it with Copics.  I think one of my new favorite color combinations is Coastal Cabana & Calypso Coral, which are available from Stampin' Up.  And the winter has been long and cold this year and I dream of going to the beach, which is one of my favorite places to be.  The oval is cut using a die from Spellbinders and mounted on more cardstock and then onto the card base.  Actually my Paper Pumpkin kit just recently came and was the inspiration for this color combination and parts were included in the kit.  The sentiment is also from Stampin' Up and I added the flowers and pine sprigs.

Eureka's Challenge #81 -Rain Showers & Rainbows

Eureka Stamps has a new challenge and this week it's "Rain Showers & Rainbows."  I have colored this great image #36303 Spring Set of 4 and I used 2 of the 4 and colored them with Copics.  Then mounted them on light blue cardstock and then onto a plaid paper.  I added a bow and some buttons and a flag with blue dots.   Stickles have been added to the raindrops.  It's been tough to get good photos lately with our gloomy days, so this card is much better looking in person.

I'm Missing You

QKR Stampede has a new challenge and this week the challenge is  "Anything Goes."  I have used "12707 Hound Dog" and colored with my colored pencils and Gamsol.   I enjoy coloring these larger areas with colored pencils and blending with Gamsol, and my grand daughter had fun coloring one also.  I he been collecting washi tape and decided it was time to actually use some, so I did a few strips going up and down and a couple across.  Then I added a quick bow and a computer generated sentiment.

I sure hope this all works correctly, I'm staying in a hotel and going to surprise my son in the morning when I show up  unexpectedly.  The internet is not working well here and I will hope for the best.   Thanks for looking and have a great day.  I will be entering this card in the following challenges...

Happy St Patrick's Day

Sassy Studio Designs has a new challenge up this week and the challenge is " ."  I have used the Valentine Honey image and colored her with Copics and used a Spellbinders die to cut her out.  I used the 4 leaf clovers from the Lucky Leprechaun image and put them over the hearts.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up and punched out with the new hexagon punch.  I found cardstock that almost matches her red hair and layered it and the green for the base of the card.

Eureka Color Challenge

Eureka Stamps has a new challenge and this week it's " A Color Challenge."  I have colored this great image "21201 Butterfly and Bluebonnet" with Copics.  Ok, so you will need to use a little imagination with this one.  I have come up with a whole new color for bluebonnets, because here is the photo we are using for our inspiration.

I have added layers of cardstock using the required colors and the top layer was cut using a Spellbinders die.  I added a wooden button from Prima and a tiny bow using SU ribbon.

And since I made an odd size card I used my new SU Envelope Punch Board to make an envelope to fit my card perfectly.  If you need an Envelope Punch Board you can order directly from Stampin' Up and put my name as your demonstrator.

Sassy Studio Designs has a Special Release Blog Hop this morning, so welcome and you should have arrived from my Sassy Sister Michelle's blog.  The release of the new Senti Mints.  I have used the "Birthday - Star Trek" (It's Your Birthday and Live Long and Prosper,) and then colored Uhura Sassy and fussy cut her and mounted her on red & black cardstock along with a swirl along her side and a black bow to finish it off.

QKR Stampede has a new challenge and this week the challenge is  "Color Challenge" use the photo for inspiration.  I have used "7601 Happy Feet."  I have colored him using my Copics in several greens. Several layers of green cardstock and I even have a photo of the inside.  More green.  My husband is giving this card to his boss for her birthday which is today.  Happy Birthday Dr. Ludke.

Make it Fly

Sassy Studio Designs has a new challenge up this week and the challenge is " ."  I have used the Tinkerbelle image and colored it with Copics.  She is fussy cut and  Stickles have been added to her wings and boots.  I added some of these dots, I think they are so fun to use and a couple of rhinestones and a bow.  I didn't put a sentiment on this one yet because I'm not sure what I will need next for a card.  She will probably end up as a birthday card.  I seem to need those the most.

Hey There Friend

Eureka Stamps has a new challenge and this week it's " Anything Goes."  I have colored this great image 8805(590)Big n Little Cat with Copics.  I added several layers of yellow cardstock.  I have stripes and dots and a banner shape and stamped the sentiment right on it.  To finish it off,  I used a yellow ribbon and a charm.
