Now here are a few notes on how I made the flowers for my card.
I found a instruction out on the web that said to stick pins into cardboard to make these flowers; but that didn't work well for me. So I took a wine cork and pushed eight small nails into it trying to stay fairly even. Then you wrap the yarns or threads (I used a crochet thread) around nails in a figure 8 type pattern moving across the top of the cork. I did about three times around and then you have to tie or sew the center together so the flower doesn't fall apart when you take it off the cork. You can find better instructions HERE or HERE; both of these ladies have very good instructions. For my flowers I put the nails close to the top of the cork for the smaller flowers and and about half way down the cork for the larger one. Thanks for looking and have a great day.
What a lovely card you have made. I remember making flowers like this when I was young. Nice to see them being used again. Thanks for taking part in the Sweet Pea Stampers Challenge this month of “use a digi” and best of luck. We hope to see you back again very soon. Best wishes, Kym, Sweet Pea Stampers Design Team xxx
