QKR Stampede Challenge #222 Christmas Cards

QKR Stampede has a new challenge and this week the challenge is  "Christmas Cards."   This week I did several cards each using the embossing folders and Merry Christmas greeting, then changed up the card until I got the look I wanted. The tree is cut using a die from Marianne Design & the oval is cut using a Spellbinders die. The embossing folders are Cuttlebug for the dots and Design Objectives for the die-angle  stitched look. I started out with this all white look and it was ok but I wasn't thrilled, so I moved on to the second try.
This is the same as the first card with just a little different light so you could see the embossing and shimmer better. The paper is white it must be the reflection off my red shirt that gave it the pink glow.
This is the second try and all that is changed on this card is the addition of the red ribbon and bow. Still I thought it could look better so I tried again.

This is the card I decided I liked the best. This time I changed the red to gold and the shimmer on the tree is now done using gold   Stickles. I also put Stickles on the greeting. It didn't photograph well but it does look good in person.

Stop by QKR Stampede  to see what the rest of the team has created and join in this challenge we would love to have you join us and if you use one of the great images from the store you could win more.  Thanks for looking and have a great day.  I will be entering this card in the following challenges...

  1. You have created super pretty cards! I absolutely loved the embossing backgrounds with the trees. In my eyes: shimmer pink is the most beautiful!
    Merry Christmas Karal!
