Welcome to the Sassy Studio Designs Anniversary Hop;. You should have arrived here from my Sassy Sister Kathy's Blog, and if not you should go to the beginning HERE and see it all. I have used TINK and of course she is colored with Copics, using some of my favorite colors. I have added a couple of roses from my stash and swirls from a Joy Craft die, Diamond Dust Stickles on her wings & boots, Pearls, and some Diamond bling. I didn't leave room for a sentiment on the front so inside reads "Just flying by to wish you a Happy Anniversary." Can you guess what year of anniversary this card is celebrating? Leave me a comment and make a guess on the Anniversary year this represents for a chance to win this image. Then you can hop on over to the next stop which is my Sassy Sister Judy and see her creation.
Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Girl Power
Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring a new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty and the challenge is "Girl Power." I thought a 'Fight Like a Girl' card was a good idea. Always happy to remind everyone about the fight to stop breast cancer. I have used this Ariel image from SSD and the words were a freebie from the Paper Craft Planet SSD site last year. I colored her with Copics added a great flower and a couple layers of designer papers from my stash and I have a CAS card in a jiffy.
Thanks for looking and have a great day. I will be entering the following challenges...

Camoflage Tutorial
This is my first try at doing a tutorial. Several people have asked how I did the camouflage on the Army Honey Image that I used for the Paper Craft Planet progressive challenge and this tutorial is being posted on the PCP site as well as here. If you haven't been at the site and joined in the challenge you should stop over and check it out. So I am going to give it a try. I did my coloring using Copic Markers-(E30, E40, E43, E50, E51, E53, E11, E15, & YR000).
Step 1 - is to lay down a light background color and I have chose to do a 'Desert Storm' camouflage and used E50 and the areas I feel that will be hit with light and I want to end up with the lightest color I have left white. The very center of her helmet, the center of her shirt and the top of the pant leg.
Step 2 - is to decide where I wanted my darkest areas and I am using E43 to dab what I will call blobs of color. I want the outside edges of the helmet to be darker because that will help give it the rounded shape, and the center where I have left the white space I am using only small areas of this dark color. I also want the dark spots in areas where the clothing is folded and where there should be shadows such as under her arms and breast and the under sides of the legs.
Step 3 - is to add another color of blobs and this time I used E30. I am using this as a medium color and added it in between & close to all of the dark areas.
Step 4 - is adding the next color and that is E40, which is a color I used mostly to blend the rest together, so the differences weren't as noticeable. I used this closer to the areas that are going to be lighter.
Step 5 - is to blend it all together to your preference. I used the E50 that I started with and went over everything lightly to just bring the colors together. Then in areas I want to deepen the color I went over the blobs with more of the original colors and added a few other colors. The band of her hat is E15 on the outside edges, E43 next, & E53 in the center. I have also used just a touch here and there of colors listed in the beginning.
The last step is to add any finishing touches to make it look like actual folds of clothing and shadows and to clean up any unwanted areas. I was a little careless as I did the dabbing and went outside of the lines. This can be cleaned up with the Colorless Blender and the finished image looks like this.
I hope this was helpful. Thanks for looking and have a great day.

One More Father's Day Card
Today Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring 2 more challenges and they are Love to Create(Vintage/Shabby Chic) and Fetch A Sketch(use their sketch). I have used the new Red Riding Hood image and colored here in shades of gray hoping to give this a vintage look. I was thinking all the old photos are black & white and that is a vintage feel. Then it make it all work with just one card I used the sketch from Fetch A Sketch. I punched the border with a Martha Stewart punch and the oval is the inside layer of an envelope that was cute with a die from Spellbinders, I even did a little recycling on this one. The greeting is punched with a Stampin' Up punch and some black rick rack was added and all was mounted on a couple layers of black and white.
Inside reads "Thanks for all the great memories, Dad. Have a Happy Father's Day" I will be entering this card in the following challenges. Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Happy Father's Day Again
It's time for a new challenge at Tammy's Scrapin Corner and this week we are doing Father's Day cards. Our sponsor is SK Digis and I have used the Fireworks image and colored it with Copics. I went for a CAS look and let the image be the star as both the paper and the image. I added part of the sentiment right on the background an then used a Stampin' Up punch for the other part. I mounted it on red and blue cardstock. I photo has a grayish look to it sorry about that, it's been so overcast & rainy here that my photos aren't turning out to good.
Stop by Tammy's Scrapin Corner and join in this challenge. Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Don't Let Life Get You Down
It's time for a new challenge at Tammy's Scrapin corner and this week its "Extra Texture." The sponsor this week is QKR Stampede and I have used this cute image called "Stubbed Toe" and colored it with Copics. My texture comes from a couple of embossing folders from Sizzix. I cut the white cardstock with the Stampin' Up apothecary die and then ran it through the embossing folder and pink & black background used another folder. Added a glittery ribbon along the sides and my computer generated greeting and here is the end result. I hope you like it.
