Sassy Studio Designs Spring Fresh Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sassy Studio Designs Spring Fresh Blog Hop. You should have arrived her from my Sassy Sister Adina's site, and if not you should start at the beginning and see all of the great projects.   I have used the "Steampunk Victoria" image and colored her with Copics and fussy cut her.  I choose to color her in yellows and blues, since this is a fresh take, and I normally would have colored her in tans.  I made a treat holder from card stock and when you unwrap the twine and open up the folder you will find 2 fun size Babe Ruth candy bars.  My sentiment is done using Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny wishes stamps and are punched with the new Banner punch.  The twine & button were from my stash as was the floral paper I added for just an extra touch of color.  To make the treat holder I tore a gum packet apart to see how it was put together and made my template large enough to hold 2 fun size candy bars.  It took a couple of tries before I was happy with the design, but I used plain white card stock for my practice.

  18. Karal, love the candy holder. I like that you took apart a gum packet to get the box shape. I thought I was the only one that tears stuff apart to make new packages. Love the bright colors and the twine closure.

  21. Sweet. I mean the candy holder (okay and the candy too *U* ) Very clever in taking the gum box apart and sizing to fit 2 mini bars inside. Nice wok.
